RADEMACHER - Data privacy
Data protection declaration
Data privacy declaration and declaration of consent for use of personal data
This data protection declaration is applicable to www.rademacher.de, homepilot.rademacher.de and to all other subpages of these domains (hereinafter jointly referred to as "websites"). In addition to this, this data protection declaration is also applicable to the WR-Connect portal, which is accessed via the website homepilot.rademacher.de/login (hereinafter referred to as "WR-Connect") and the update-server (update.homepilot.de).
In this data protection declaration, we undertake to inform you which of your data we will be requesting, processing and using, and to what end (hereinafter all data protection relevant actions will be jointly referred to as "processing").
For isolated data processing procedures we will require further specific permission from you. This will be clearly indicated where necessary within this data protection declaration. These data processing procedures will only be performed when you have actively submitted a declaration of consent to the use of your personal data, either via the website or within the framework of registering with WR-Connect.
The responsible authority as defined in § 3, para. 7 of the BDSG [German Federal Data Protection Act] is RADEMACHER GERÄTE-ELEKTRONIK GmbH, Buschkamp 7, D-46414 Rhede/Westfalen (hereinafter referred to as "Rademacher" or "we").
Data retrieved during a visit to our website
You can visit our websites without actively disclosing any personal data. However, we must advise you that within the course of visiting the website, the following data are automatically retrieved:
- Browser type and version
- OS (operating system)
- Referrer's URL (the site visited immediately prior to this one)
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Your IP address (for an explanation of this, please see below)
- Time of the server request
- Web server protocol
These data are retrieved in order to enable the replication of the websites and the portal in your browser. These data belong to the so-called HTTP header, which is automatically transferred to the relevant web server during every website search. We will not use these data to categorise you or to create a profile of you and your browsing habits. However, we must advise you that it is, in principle, possible for said data to be used to define you as a person. The data are saved in log files in the event that they are required to trace back any technical errors or IT security incidents. The log files are automatically deleted after a maximum of 14 days (42 days regarding WR-Connect portal) if they are not linked to any event (error/security incident).
IP addresses (IPv4 and IPv6 (incl. MAC addresses))
The IP address is the globally recognised, explicit identification mark of your computer or mobile device provided by your Internet provider at the time of access and comprises, in its current and most common form (IPv4), four blocks of numbers separated by dots. For the most part, as a private user, you will not have a consistent IP address as this is something that is only assigned by your Internet provider on a temporary basis (so-called "dynamic IP addresses"). Where permanently dedicated IP addresses (so-called "static IP addresses") are concerned, an unambiguous mapping of user data with this feature is, in principle, possible. With the exception of tracking unauthorised access to our Internet service, we will not use these data in a person-specific manner, merely evaluate them in an anonymised form to determine which of our websites are more popular, how many hits there are per day, and similar.
In case you have a newer version of your IP address (IPv6), you should also be advised of the following: The IPv6 address is comprised of 8 blocks of four. The first four blocks are – as with the entire IPv4 address – typically dynamically allocated to private users. The last four blocks of an IPv6 address (the so-called "interface identifier") are determined by the end device that you are using for browsing and viewing the website. Insofar as this is not otherwise set up in your OS, the so-called MAC address will also be used here. The MAC address is a kind of serial number which is unique to every individual IP-enabled device in the world. (This is why we do not save the last four blocks of your IPv6 address.) In general, we would recommend that you activate the so-called "privacy extensions" on your end device to better anonymise the last four blocks of your IPv6 address. Most current OS have "privacy extensions" in place, however in practice they are very rarely activated.
